PARENT UNIVERSITY: PATHWAYS TO YOUR FUTURE, CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
The Office of Career and Technology Education (CTE) will offer a Parent University session on the benefits of high school CTE pathways available in Baltimore County Public Schools. This session is appropriate for parents, students, counselors, teachers, and administrators who would like information about the variety of CTE programs that provide students with opportunities to explore career paths and apply academic learning to real-world situations. Participants will learn about available CTE programs, the process for students to participate in the programs, and the benefits of completing a CTE program. The presentation will address the admission and application process for CTE programs, certifications available for CTE completers, and program articulation to the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) and to some four-year colleges and universities.
The session will be held on Thursday, February 19. 2015, at the Rosedale Public Library, located at 6105 Kenwood Avenue, in Rosedale (21237). The session will be from 6 to 6:45 p.m., and then repeated from 7 to 7:45 p.m. A light dinner fare will be provided.
