Our Mission

Deer Park Middle Magnet School’s mission is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and beliefs needed to reach their full potential. Students are preparing to become college, career and workforce ready.  We are committed to excellence in every endeavor and dedicated in providing an engaging, relevant and rigorous instructional program for all students. Collaborating and partnering with parents/guardians and community members, we ensure the foundational knowledge needed to succeed and the enrichment opportunities to promote lifelong 21st century learning.

Deer Park Middle Magnet School classrooms are student-centered. Students are effectively engaged in a rigorous learning process that will prepare them to be college, career and workforce ready. Our students will become productive citizens who function in a multicultural and technologically-advanced society.

What's Happening

Back to School Festival

On Saturday, August 23, from 12-4 p.m. at Security Square Mall, BCPS and Baltimore County government will once again help to sponsor the third annual Back to School Festival, featuring free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, immunizations, entertainment, and food for BCPS students and their parents. If possible, please post the attached flyer on your school websites, and please advertise/promote the festival on your school marquees and in the school lobby or front office.

White and/or Blue Polo Shirts with Black, Blue or Khaki bottoms

Grade 7

Burgundy and/or Grey Polo Shirts with Black, Blue or Khaki bottoms

Grade 8

Black and/or Red Polo Shirts with Black, Blue or Khaki bottoms

Magnet 6th, 7th and 8th

Purple Shirts with Black, Blue or Khaki bottoms.

The shirt must be embroidered with D.P.M.M.S.(top line) and the child’s magnet (second line).

The magnets are: Theatre Arts, Dance, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Visual Arts, Mass Communications, Earth and Space Science, and Spanish
